This 14-day itinerary from Casablanca is designed at a relaxed pace to cover Morocco’s essential highlights—imperial cities, Roman ruins, the Rif Mountains, Merzouga dunes, kasbah routes, and Marrakech—while also including time for Chefchaouen and a day trip to Essaouira

Arrive at the airport, meet your team, and transfer to your hotel. This day is planned for rest and preparation before the journey begins.
Start with a visit to the exterior and open courtyards of Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca.
Continue to Rabat for a panoramic drive around the Royal Palace district and visits to the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan Tower. Then travel north to Asilah, known for whitewashed walls and murals.

Enjoy time in Asilah’s old medina, then continue along the coast to Tangier. Visit Cape Spartel where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, and the Hercules Caves (partially accessible).
Travel inland through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the blue-painted town in a mountain valley.
A full day in Chefchaouen to explore at your own pace—by foot or scooter. Spend time in the main square, shop for handicrafts, and visit cafés with views over town and the surrounding mountains. Optional guided assistance is available to explore hidden corners and history.

Travel south to Volubilis for viewpoints and a visit to the Roman ruins site. Continue to Meknes to see Bab Mansour and El Hedim Square, then continue to Fes.
A guided sightseeing day in Fes. Walk the medina streets, visit key sites including the tomb of Moulay Idriss II, the Bou Inania Madrasa, traditional tanneries, and Funduk Nejjarine. Return for dinner.

Drive south through the Middle Atlas with a stop in Ifrane. Continue through cedar forests with photo stops, then reach Midelt and cross the Ziz Valley with palm groves and oases before arriving in Merzouga.
Dinner and rest at your desert hotel/riad.
After breakfast, meet the 4x4 driver for a Sahara excursion: visit local Berber nomads, explore M’Fis mines, and stop for panoramic dune views. Continue to Khamlia for Gnaoua music and lunch.
In the afternoon, check into the hotel for rest (optional: sandboarding, quad biking, buggy rides). Later, take a camel trek, watch sunset, and arrive at the desert camp for dinner and music under the stars.

Wake early for sunrise and breakfast, then travel to Rissani—visit Zawiya Moulay Ali ash-Sharif and explore the souk and fondouks.
Continue toward the Todgha Gorges, then onward through the valley route to your hotel near Dades/Roses Valley.
Continue through the Valley of Roses, known for rose harvesting in spring. Visit Kasbah Amridil in Skoura, then continue to Ouarzazate, Morocco’s cinema capital. You can view the exterior of Atlas Film Studios or enjoy a relaxed evening.

Visit Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO). As described, the village terrain is uneven, so the visit can focus on an accessible viewpoint for photos. Continue across the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with scenic stops along the way.
Guided day in Marrakech: Bahia Palace, the Jewish Quarter, gardens and courtyards near Koutoubia Mosque, and time on foot in the medina among spice shops and handicrafts. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Optional visit: Majorelle Garden (with accessible pathways) and the connection to Yves Saint Laurent.

Depart for Essaouira (about 3 hours). Free time to explore the medina, port, city walls, beach, and seafood lunch. Return to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Note (as written): You can request a visit to Essaouira or Ourika Valley, or a hot air balloon experience in Marrakech.
Before returning to Casablanca, you may choose a hot air balloon experience (as written). Then drive to Casablanca with scenic stops for photos. Check into your hotel and enjoy your final evening.
