Pick-up from your hotel or riad in Fes and begin the journey south. Stop in Ifrane, then continue to the cedar forest near Azrou, where you may spot Barbary monkeys. Continue through the Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon.

Enjoy an authentic camel ride across the dunes and watch sunset from a high dune. At the luxury camp, you are welcomed with tea, then dinner is served followed by an evening around the campfire with Berber music under the stars.

Overnight: desert camp in Merzouga

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Excursion (4x4) – Nomads – M’Fis – Khamlia – Hotel

After breakfast at the camp, meet the 4x4 driver for a Sahara excursion. Visit local Berber nomads to learn how they live in the desert environment. Explore the old M’Fis mines from the French colonial period and stop at a hill viewpoint for panoramic dune views.

Continue to Khamlia to enjoy a traditional Gnawa performance and a local meal for lunch. In the afternoon, check into your hotel in Merzouga for relaxation. Optional activities may be available such as sandboarding, quad biking, or buggy riding.

Overnight: hotel in Merzouga

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Tinghir Oasis – Todra Canyon & Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast in Merzouga, travel toward the Dades Valley. Stop in Rissani, Tinghir Oasis, Todra Canyon, and Todra Gorge.

If your visit to Rissani coincides with a market day (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday), you can experience the atmosphere of a traditional market and local crafts and food. At Todra Canyon, enjoy a walk to admire the cliffs and scenery.
